Wacky Weather

Austin TX was hit with a blast of icy weather Jan 15-17. We had freezing rain a few nights in a row, and the roads were covered with ice. All the kids in the neighborhood (and some who were not kids) found the biggest hill and tried their luck sledding down it (in laundry baskets, on top of cooler lids, and on flattened cardboard boxes!). It was fun for a few days, but by Thursday or Friday, all the ice melted and we were back to our regular Austin winter.
